I want to share a smaller project I completed quite a few years ago: this bird feeder.

It turned out to be a huge hit with the local wildlife! This was a replacement project, as our old birdfeeder had become quite tired and weathered over the years.
I added hinges to the roof of the new birdfeeder, so it was able to swing open and the main ‘house’ filled with birdseed.
Then, there was a simple mechanism on the inside: with one full turn of the handle on the side, a measured amount of birdseed would be released into the trough for the birds to access.
As you can see in the photos, the bird feeder was very popular! Especially with the local peaceful doves.
I think the charm of this project is in its simplicity and classic design, and it became a really nice feature of our backyard. Our feathered friends agree!

This birdhouse has such a charming design, I love it!
Wow, this beautiful and would look stunning in the garden. I really like how you can fill it and the just dispense the bird seed with the turn of a dial. These birds for sure know when they are on to a good thing.
