In the spotlight this week is a personal project I completed recently: an LED dartboard cabinet.
My dartboard has been without a proper home since we moved a number of years ago. So, this project was very satisfying to finally get started on and have finished.

The cabinet includes a shelf to hold darts and other accessories, and I also added whiteboard surfaces on the inside of both doors for keeping score.
I used a dark stain to finished the cabinet, which complements the grain of the wood but also matches the rest of our outdoor furniture.
I ordered a few hundred bottle corks to line the back of the cabinet in this mosaic parquet pattern, which gives it a really interesting visual effect (and, of course, catches any stray darts).

And lastly, the inside of the cabinet features a hidden LED strip which not only makes night-time play easier, but it looks great too!

I’m really proud of how this project turned out, and it’s been a great addition to our outdoor space.
It looks like a great addition, I love the LED lights. Can’t wait to see what else you make.
This is awesome. Love the mosaic parquet pattern with the corks. I know for sure that’s where my darts would be ending up.
Very nice. I wonder where the LED strip is hidden for that lighting.
Wow! That’s fabulous, what a lovely piece of cabinetry <3
